12P/Pons-Brooks
Comet 12P/Pons-Brooks is a Halley-type celestial body with an orbital period of approximately 71 years. On 16 March 2024, it was moving through the region of the sky between the constellations Andromeda and Pisces, near the Andromeda Galaxy. At that time, its brightness was increasing as it approached perihelion, although optical instruments were still required to observe it properly during evening twilight.
